SCRANTON, Pa. — More than 25 families had their laundry washed and dried for free.
The group Current Initiatives is behind The Laundry Project held at Southside Laundromat on Pittston Avenue.
Organizers say the event was held to ease the financial burden of washing clothes and linens for families struggling because of the pandemic.
