DOING the laundry is a never-ending chore, particularly if you have kids, and most of us are probably sick of staring at our clotheshorse over lockdown.
But no matter how many times you wash something, or all the various cycles you put it on, some stains never come out of your clothes.

If you were about to chuck out your favourite top, an expert has revealed how your freezer can help.
While we may lose our keys in there from time to time, Deyan Dimitrov, CEO of Laundryheap has claimed the extreme cold can help shift stubborn marks.
It works particularly well with ironed-stained laundry, and can either lighten marks or remove them completely.
Deyan said: “Believe it or not, the humble freezer can help solve a wide range of laundry problems, so it would be great to keep a mini version in your laundry room.

“Soaking iron-stained laundry in ice water can also help significantly lighten a stain, or remove it completely.”
It’s not the only use it has, as it can also soften scratchy fabric - meaning you can finally wear the jumper your nan got you for Christmas.
Deyan continued: “Scratchy knitwear can be softened by popping the items into a freezer bag and leaving in the freezer overnight.
“Doing so will lock the fibres in place, so they don’t shed and poke into you.”

Lastly it can also help decrease your clothes - if you have a tumble drier.
Chuck in some ice cubes when drying your washing, with Deyan saying: “During the drying process, the heat released by the dryer will melt the ice cubes, which will then produce steam and smooth out any creases - reducing the need for ironing later!”
If you don't have space for a mini-freezer specifically for your laundry, simply rearrange your chicken nuggets and frozen peas to make room - but make sure to bag up your clothes first.
